Do Newspapers and Magazines Actually Looks Different on the DX?
As in, are they actually laid out differently, or is the only difference the extra screen real estate? By far the main thing i use my Kindle 1 for is newspapers and magazines, so if the reading experience is significantly better on a DX, i’d consider upgrading. Do Newspapers and Magazines Actually Looks Different on the DX?
As in, are they actually laid out differently, or is the only difference the extra screen real estate? By far the main thing i use my Kindle 1 for is newspapers and magazines, so if the reading experience is significantly better on a DX, i’d consider upgrading. Whereas, if it’s simply "the screen is bigger", I’ll pass…. the extra weight, extra price, and supposedly the worse portability would all outweigh the benefit
Saw my first Kindle in the wild last week
I have never seen one here before (Albuquerque). I have tons of people ask about mine but have never seen anyone else with one. I cant wait until we move to a bigger city in 2 months (DC). Maybe I will see more. Hey doesnt DOG live in DC??? I might see him there. Dog, I know DC is VERY big, but what do you look like, I will see if I can find you among all the other kindle readers there. No, no dont tell me. Everytime I see someone with a kindle I will just walk up to them and ask "DOG?" and see what responses I get.
unexpected error
my kindle won’t open the books and is saying "unexpected error". Anyone else run up against this?

Hello Amazon,I buy some of my books from you. (It used to be all, until you stopped discounting paperbacks and started charging sales tax, as I can get better prices and same day delivery now from B&N.) I buy most of the more expensive books I get from you as well – technical and science books.I also have a pair of Kindles, and have bought precisely one Kindle book from you (to try it out). I use the DX as a PDF and NYT/Economist reader.I would buy many more Kindle books if you would sell me the Kindle book for a dollar more when I buy (or have bought) the print book. You have an online book service that does something similar.Alternatively, I would stop buying the print book if you would remove DRM. For the price of the Kindle book, I don’t want to be renting books from you, be prevented from reading them on my laptop or iPhone (magazines, newspapers), or unable to sell them or lend them out. I certainly don’t want you canceling my Amazon account (in good standing since 1997) and then losing all my books (as has been publicized in the past).So, what do you say? Print + Kindle for $1 more? Or even, 5-10% more?(Oh, since it was mentioned… How about scrapping all your affiliates in New York just as you’ve done in North Carolina? 
)Thanks for listening – I just want the Kindle to be a runaway success. I have run out of bookshelf space, and can’t afford a new one after the DX.
